Which persisted for TWO hours today, by the way.
And every person/group that came to sit down after 12:15, with six exceptions, left either food crumbs, fries, straw wrappers, ketchup spills, or THEIR WHOLE DAMN TRAYS AND EVERYTHING ON IT on the tables afterward. At one point, there were probably more fries on the floor than on people’s trays, and the dining section was at full fucking capacity and then some from 12:30 to 1:15.
And then all the shit on the floor—fries, onion pieces, chicken shrapnel, papers, fucking lettuce slices with just enough mustard on them to glue them to the damn floor—I had to sweep up, but guess what? BOTH dustpans had gaping holes in the bottom, so I had to get on hands and knees and pick everything up. And the people leaving all their shit must’ve seen this. They knew I was taking out orders at the same time (usually two at once) that I was having to clean up the tables. They knew the dining room was full. They saw, when they got up, two families coming in to replace them. So why would they leave all that crap for me to clean up when they knew I already had to feed people and those people needed a place to sit?! Did I do something to them?! Does my existence and the existence of other families insult them in some way that they feel the sadistic need to get back at us by forcing me to forego giving people food in favor of cleaning and forcing them to stand in increasing numbers at the front because they can’t sit down?!
If you go to restaurants and leave messes for the waitstaff to clean up, you need to unfollow me right the fuck now. Get out. Seriously. If you have that little respect for the people bringing you food, then I have NO respect for you.
